Rochdale Dog Rescue relies on a small band of volunteers, and needs you! Volunteers can help in a number of ways, and you can find out more by clicking the individual photo links below.
Fostering
Fostering a dog means bringing the dog into your own home to prepare it for rehoming. This will mean assessing the dog's existing training, ability to cope with different everyday situations and its temperament. You will be responsible for providing a safe and secure home, updating the team with news about the dog and assisting to ensure that the most suitable new home is found.
Transporting
Transport is a vital link in securing a dog's safety. When he or she has completed their 7 days in the pound and has a rescue space to go to, they have to be moved there immediately, or we risk losing the space or having to pay for emergency boarding. Our volunteer transporters are very important to us; without them more dogs would die. Would you like to join this group of special people?
Fundraising
Rochdale Dog Rescue currently needs a Fundraising Co-ordinator. We are looking for someone with some previous fundraising skills to take on the role. You will need to be creative, trustworthy, have initiative and enthusiasm, and be willing to build a team of fundraisers. Do you fit the bill?
