Homes Needed!

Homes are needed for dogs featured on this page, however these are not always ex-poundies, and are not always in the immediate care of Rochdale Dog Rescue.

From time to time Rochdale Dog Rescue is contacted by a member of the public asking for help to rehome their dog following a change in work or marriage circumstances, ill-health, the death of an owner or financial difficulties. Whilst we do not rehome pound dogs directly to the public from the pound, the dogs on this page are usually still in their existing homes, are in foster homes, have been signed over directly to rescue or are currently in boarding kennels.

In these instances as the dog's background is mostly known or it is possible to visit and assess the dogs ourselves we will aim to help or rehome the dog by featuring it on this page.

Each dog featured will have photos wherever possible and a description of it's history and current circumstances.

Please read our Frequently Asked Questions page before you place an enquiry, this will help explain why it is only the dogs on this page that are for direct rehoming.

Please note that Rochdale Dog Rescue does not rehome to homes where there are children under 7 years of age.

If you are interested in any of the dogs featured on this page please contact us.

The following dogs are currently in emergency boarding kennels or are in foster homes under the direct care of us here at Rochdale Dog Rescue.

These dogs have been neutered, vaccinated and assessed by Rochdale Dog Rescue.

Homechecks are carried out prior to you being offered a dog, an adoption agreement must be signed and a donation will be required. Lifetime backup and support via. Rochdale Dog Rescue is offered for these dogs.

If you think you can offer any of these dogs a loving home please telephone Heather for an informal chat on 07983 543897 .

ARWEN

Please meet Arwen, a Boxer/Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, female, approximately 1-2 years old. She is brindle in colour with some white markings and she is small to medium in size. Arwen has no tail (not that she minds!) - she appears to have been born like this

Arwen is a very loving and special girl who has the most gorgeous face and deep brown eyes - who could resist! She has a brilliant temprament, loving everyone and she adores children. Arwen can be a little bouncy but soon settles once out and about on her walk to become a relaxed and chilled out girl.

Arwen enjoys a good fuss and is a quick learner which should make any ongoing training an easy task - we think she would make a great agility dog. She also travels well in the car.

Arwen is now looking for her new forever home. Could that be with you? For more information on Arwen please telephone Heather on the number given above.

DAVID

Please meet David, a Cross Breed, male, approximately 2-3 years old. He is tan in colour with some white markings. David has a smooth coat and he is medium in size.

David is a very gentle, happy and friendly lad who is very well mannered - he walks nicely on the lead, knows some basic commands such as sit and he will politely shake a paw in exchange for a gently taken treat!

David is very keen to listen and learn and it should prove an easy task to continue with any ongoing training. David is also as good and well mannered with the other dogs he meets.

David is now looking for his new forever home. Could that be with you? For more information on David please telephone Heather on the number given above.

OLLIE

Please meet Ollie, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, male, approximately 4-5 years old. He is red in colour and medium in size.

Ollie is a wonderful natured lad who is very affectionate, loving and friendly to everyone he meets and is very good with children. He is never happier than when spending time with his human friends, playing or chilling out and just knowing you are there - he will be a great companion for his new family.

Ollie enjoys his walks and has been trained to walk well on his lead and harness.

He is up to date with his vaccinations.

Ollie is now looking for his new forever home due to a change in his owners circumstances. He would love a home where he won't be left on his own for long periods and he is the only pet.

For more information on Ollie please telephone Heather on the number given above.
