On this page you will find details of dogs in rescues in Scotland and the North of England. We seek spaces for dogs that have completed their 7 days in the pound, and utilising volunteer drivers we move them to these rehoming centres. Once there the dogs are assessed, vaccinated, neutered or spayed, microchipped and wormed. Once fully assessed they are ready for rehoming.

This is CORA, an Aylestone Bulldog, female, 2 1/2 years old. She is brindle and white in colour and is small to medium in size. Cora is a lovely friendly and steady girl.
This is BEAUTY, a Lurcher, female, approximately 4 years old. She is black with white markings, has a smooth coat, and she is large in size. Beauty is a very friendly, steady girl who seems Ok with other dogs - she loves to snuggle!
This is TOBY, a Jack Russell Terrier, male, approximately 7 years old. He is all white with a rough, curly coat and he is smallish in size. Toby is very friendly, quiet and calm and he seems Ok with other dogs.
This is LAWLER, a Lurcher, male, approximately 12 months old. He is sandy coloured with a smooth coat and he is medium in size. Lawler is very friendly and quite steady and he seems Ok with other dogs - he's very cuddly and kissy too!
This is ANNIE, a Cross Breed, female, approximately 12 months old. She is black and tan with a smooth coat and she is small to medium in size (more on the small side). Annie is very friendly and she seems Ok with other dogs - she is a nervous but very sweet girl!

This is ROONEY AKA MACOREY MAX, a Greyhound, male, 2 years old. He is dark blue grey with a bit of white on his chest and he has beautiful amber eyes! He is large in size and is in fairly good condition but his coat is patchy. Rooney is very friendly and steady and he seems Ok with other dogs.

This is ROCKY, a Rottweiler, male, approximately 18 months old. He is black and tan with a full tail and he is large in size. Rocky is his real name - some local children knew his name but not where he lived. Rocky is a very friendly and bouncy lad, he is on the left in the photo - he gets on well with other dogs and has not taken any notice of the two cats he has met. He immediately sits for a biscuit - he is just a sweetheart!

This is HOOPY, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, male, approximately 5+ years old. He is tan in colour with white on some toes, and is medium in size. Hoopy is a really handsome striking lad who is very friendly and steady. He is gentle, calm and he loves having a fuss from his human friends. He is good with children and he also seems fine with other dogs.

This is ABBEY, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, female, approximately 8 years old. She is brindle and white in colour, with a grey muzzle, and she is smallish in size. Abbey is very friendly, confident and quite bouncy, and she seems fine with other dogs.
This is JERRY, a Jack Russell Terrier/Heeler Cross, male, approximately 18 months old. He is tri-coloured with a smooth coat and he is smallish in size. Jerry is unsocialised with other dogs and barks at them. He is good with children having lived with a six year old and a baby. He is also fine travelling and is house trained. Jerry can be nervous and he is very nervous in kennels.
This is SASKIO, a Terrier type, male, approximately 4-5 years old. He is tri-coloured with a longish rough coat and he is medium in size. Saskio is very friendly and vocal, he is steady and he seems ok with other dogs.

This is BONO, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, male, approximately 4 years old. He is brindle in colour with a white chest and toes. Bono is a small and chunky lad who seems to have alot to say about his situation! He is always happy to 'talk' to you and have his tummy tickled. He is an active and very friendly boy with a wonderful character - he loves fuss and attention bless him!

This is MARLEY, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, male, 12 months old. He is blue brindle with white markings and he is smallish in size. Marley is very friendly, he seems Ok with other dogs and he doesn't seem interested in cats. Marley also likes to shake a paw for a treat!

This is BLUEBELL, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, female, approximately 3 years old. She is brindle in colour with some white markings. Bluebell is a gorgeous big bouncy staffie girl who is very friendly with both people and other dogs!

This is FRANK, a Boxer, male, approximately 2 years old. He is brindle and white in colour and he is large in size. Frank is a lovely bouncy friendly boy who seems OK with other dogs!
This is TILLY, a Boxer, female, approximately 5 years old. She is dark brindle in colour with white markings. Tilly is medium to large in size with a docked tail and gorgeous melting brown eyes. She is a little skinny and it looks as though she may have recently had pups. Tilly is a very friendly, waggy and bouncy girl!

This is ANNA, a Bull Mastiff, female, approximately 4 years old. She is fawn in colour with a black mask. Anna is large in size with a smooth coat and she has an overshot lower jaw. Anna looks as though she has recently has pups and has quite saggy teats. She is a very friendly girl.

This is BUTCH, a Labrador cross Staffie, male, 2 years old in May. He is black in colour with a smooth coat, and he is small to medium in size. Butch is very friendly, although a little nervous of his current situation, and he is good with other dogs but has never seen a cat. He is house trained and he has lived with a 5 year old but he is quite lively.

This is ROYAL, an Akita, male, approximately 4 years old. He is fawn in colour with a black mask. He appears to be in a good condition and he is medium to large in size. Royal is a handsome softy, a real teddy bear who is very friendly and steady. He is a pleasure to walk, knows how to shake a paw and sit and seems to be OK with other dogs!

This is PHOEBE, a German Shepherd/Collie Cross, female, approximately 3 years old. She is a dark chocolate brown in colour with a semi-coat. Phoebe is medium in size (smaller than a GSD). Phoebe is a friendly girl who is a little frightened and timid due to her situation.
This is RIO, a Cross Breed, male, approximately 2 years old. He is tan in colour with a smooth coat and he is small to medium in size. Rio is a nice boy who is nervous of people he does not know but is good once he knows you are OK! He is is playful with other dogs, has a good level of training, is not possessive, can be left on his own and is fully housetrained.

This is JANIE, a Cross Breed, female, approximately 5 years old. She is tri-coloured with a smooth coat, she has prick ears and is medium in size. She has a slight skin condition on her back end. Janie is very friendly, bouncy and kissy, and she seems fine with other dogs.
This is FLORENCE, a Rottweiler/Terrier Cross, female, approximately 12-18 months old. She is black and tan with a tiny bit of white on her chest, she has a wiry coat and she is medium to large in size. Florence is very friendly, bouncy, kissy and confident, and she seems ok with other dogs.
